Research

Peter’s primary research interest is the evaluation and production of innovation, examined at various levels of analysis (individual, team and organization). In addition, Peter has studied the relational dynamics of negotiation and exchange, and the social network responses to organizational change. His advisor at Washington University in St. Louis was Dr. Stuart Bunderson.

Teaching

Peter teaches Management Perspectives at Hope College, starting in the fall of 2010. Peter taught “Quantitative Business Analysis” to Olin Business School undergraduates in the Fall of 2008 and is teaching “Negotiations” in the Fall of 2009. In addition, Peter has guest lectured for a “Social Entrepreneurship” course to masters of business and social work students, assisted in an undergraduate negotiations course, and taught a 4-day seminar on research and analysis for managers at the Barcelona Management Institute.

Consulting

Peter has assisted on a variety of consulting projects. He has worked on projects for Monsanto, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, and several projects with Bunge Global at both the senior management and research and development levels. In the non-profit side, he has done work with National Association of Social Workers, and Methodist Health Care System.

Personal

Peter is an accomplished triathlete, having competed for Team USA in the age-group world competitions in 2006. He was a multiple-time Division III All-American swimmer while at Calvin College. He also occasionally contributes to a group blog, The Captured Perspective.
